What Our Students Are Saying

THE BLIND FURY JIU-JITSU COMMUNITY SPEAKS

We believe jiu-jitsu is more than a martial art—it’s a family. Our students feel seen, supported, and empowered as they train, grow, and achieve their goals together. Read how our inclusive environment and world-class instruction have made a difference in their lives, both on and off the mat.

"In 2021, we began training at Blind Fury Jiu-Jitsu while we were in Georgia. It was our daughter's first experience with jiu-jitsu, and she quickly fell in love with it. The coaches and Professor Jason were very professional and played a key role in helping her develop a passion for the sport.

Professor Jason dedicates significant effort to his students and regularly checks in to see how our daughter is doing in her training. His enthusiasm and dedication are unmatched. We feel fortunate to have met such a wonderful and caring person who ignited our daughter's interest nearly four years ago. We highly recommend him and his gym to anyone interested in learning jiu-jitsu and having a great time."

"Jason came by Denver Judo today, and I had a blast. As a yellow belt, I’m really starting to focus on my ground work. His class was a great lesson on a few things I’m struggling with like breaking guard and closing the distance with my opponents.

I understand Jason is passionate about getting visually impaired students into BJJ and martial arts in general. I adore his mission.

Martial arts has made me healthy and confident, and I want everybody, visually impaired or not, to experience this wonderful side of life. "

"Blind Fury Jiu-Jitsu is hands down one of the best schools I’ve ever trained at. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming — whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned grappler, everyone treats you like family. Jason is a world-class instructor: he breaks down techniques clearly, pays attention to every detail, and makes sure you actually understand what you’re doing instead of just going through the motions.

What really sets Blind Fury apart is the culture. It’s competitive in the best way — everyone pushes each other to get better, but there’s zero ego on the mats. The training partners are respectful, the classes are structured, and the energy is always positive. You leave every session feeling challenged, humbled, and motivated to improve.

If you’re looking for a place to learn real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, build confidence, and be part of a supportive community, Blind Fury Jiu-Jitsu is it. Easily a 10/10 experience — can’t recommend it enough!"

"Having the opportunity to train under and be mentored by a highly respected Black Belt was a privilege I fully embraced for nearly six years. Master Jason Keaton, personally requested by Matt Larsen—the founder of the Modern Army Combatives Program—to instruct Soldiers on base, brought a depth of knowledge and experience that profoundly shaped my development in Jiu Jitsu and personal level.

Under his guidance, I learned to see beyond the surface of techniques that seemed simple at first. With time, discipline, and countless hours on the mats, those lessons evolved into the foundation of my entire Jiu Jitsu, principles I’ve tested and currently teach at my current school.

To this day, Master Keaton remains as my most important Jiu Jitsu mentor. He exemplifies what it means to be a true martial artist, constantly seeking growth, knowledge, and self-improvement. His training is demanding, his expectations are high, but his rigor is a reflection of his genuine care for his students and their success on and off the mats.

"I had the opportunity to tag along and assist Jason with a couple of seminars this past weekend.  I had a great time.

Blind Fury is a great seminar instructor - he is outgoing, entertaining and engaging.  He draws everyone onto the mats to actively engage and ask questions and interact.

His BJJ technical knowledge is high and for both seminars he sought topics from seminar attendees for their difficulties and proceeded to teach detailed breakdowns to help attendees overcome obstacles in very specific areas such as mount escapes, darce defense, advanced guard passing, and submissions such as guillotine and armbar.  This method was highly effective and provided a fantastic value for all seminar participants.

Blind Fury is an engaging and valuable seminar instructor and I would highly recommend booking him for seminars and privates.

On a side note Jason applies the same technical precision as a musician and jazz guitar player that he does to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so if you have local jazz ensembles or open jazz nights hook him up and you will experience an enjoyable time with good jazz as well."
